The Diabetic Patient's Corner

Diabetes mellitus is a disease with a high prevalence in our environment. Diagnostic and therapeutic options have advanced extraordinarily during these years. However, "Diabetes education" continues to be a fundamental tool to prevent and treat patients with diabetes mellitus.

With the aim of helping to carry out a correct diabetes education in different aspects of the daily life of the diabetic patient, the team of endocrinologists (Dr Díaz, Dra Gómez, Dr López, Dra Torres, Dra Ortolá and Dra Delgado) and nurse educators (Mrs. A Castro, Ms Nieto, Ms S del Amo, Ms M Sanchez and Ms A Santander) of the Endocrinology and Nutrition Service of the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid have prepared these files that are being used routinely in our Health Area and that We humbly want to share with the rest of healthcare professionals and diabetic patients. With the aim that they are useful in your day-to-day work with the patient.

Sincerely,

Daniel A. de Luis Román
